In Northeast Nigeria, Gov. Zulum has been commended for supporting Kukawa community.

The member representing Kukawa at the State Assembly, Karta Maina Ma'aji Lawan, disclosed this while delivering Gov. Zulum's assurance of enjoying peace in Baga town. He said they were at Baga town for the purpose of delivering the governor's message about continuing prayers in Kukawa, Baga, and Cross Kauwa, and to meet Islamic clerics in the area. Emir of Uba appointed new 'Dan Galadiman Uba'

He is Professor Ahmed Ahidjo. Professor Ahidjo's dedication to the community and exceptional leadership were congratulated by Wazirin Uba when he presented the letter. Abddullahi Musa Askira, the Deputy Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, has received a traditional title letter from the Uba Emirate Council in Askira/Uba local government area, Borno State Northeast Nigeria. Again, Landmines kill three in Nigeria's Northeast.

By: Adamu Aliyu Ngulde  In Nigeria's northeastern Borno state, there was a bomb blast that killed three travelers from Damboa Local government area on Saturday, while others were injured as reported by security sources and travelers. According to sources, the accident happened around 11:00 hours in Koruwaso, which is about 55 kilometers north, and involved a black Sharon commercial vehicle carrying passengers from Damboa during a military/civilian road movement. International News Syndicate received a phone call from Ya Musa Abukar, a local vigilante officer, who stated that the incident happened in the morning.  Three people were killed in the explosion, according to a source in Ajari ward in Damboa town, while six others had serious injuries and were taken to a hospital in Maiduguri for treatment. Troops neutralized BH insurgents in Gwoza.

By: Adamu Aliyu Ngulde  Troops of Operation Hadin Kai neutralized Boko Haram terrorists in Gwoza Town, Borno State, northeast Nigeria. The town was attacked by the terrorists through the recently constructed 1000 housing units. According to a local source, security officers have quickly responded to the attack and prevented them from entering the town. It is believed that the terrorists will receive a beating with the aid of the airforce. More Details shortly.

Then, all present facilitators and participants were introduced, followed by a brief talk on the purpose of the round table by Mr. Bishop Onche. A presentation on the overview of FP activities and CBS in Borno state was presented by Dr. Habiba from the Borno State Primary Healthcare Department.  She also talked about the prevalence rate of contraceptives in the state, which showed tremendous improvement. However, more needs to be done. An overview of FP initiatives was presented by religious leaders from JIBWIS(Islam) and CAN(Christian) with their perspectives, updates, challenges faced, and successes achieved.  After more presentations and discussions, there was an interview and lunch break where Bishop Onche discussed how we can use social media to boost family planning reach in Borno. During his visit to Maiduguri on Thursday, he gave assurance in response to terrorist attacks in Borno State. According to the CDS, terrorists in the Sahel region were under pressure to attack again, which caused them to increase attacks in Nigeria and the Lake Chad region.  He reassured that the military is in charge of the situation and has acquired advanced weapons to deploy alongside new tactics. He urged Nigerians to keep calm because the military and security agencies are in complete control. In Northeast Nigeria, Emir of Shani appointed new Jakadiya.

Others who attended the ceremony include chairman of the Shani Local Government area, Abdu Hassan Labaki, and a member representing Shani at the State Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Inuwa Kubo. Borno Police Command arrested drug-related vendors in Maiduguri.

The command's spokesperson, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, confirmed this in a statement released on Tuesday. In his estimation, the suspects were detained during a joint raid operation conducted by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Social Vices Unit on May 10, 2025. According to him, a huge collection of exhibits were recovered by police, including 187 Exzol tablets, 252 D5 tablets, 507 wraps of dried leaves believed to be Indian hemp, one jackknife, and one tramadol tablet. The command reiterates its commitment to protecting the safety and security of all residents in the statement and strongly warns criminals to stop their nefarious activities or face the full force of the law.
