In Nigeria's northeastern Borno state, there was a bomb blast that killed three travelers from Damboa Local government area on Saturday, while others were injured as reported by security sources and travelers.

According to sources, the accident happened around 11:00 hours in Koruwaso, which is about 55 kilometers north, and involved a black Sharon commercial vehicle carrying passengers from Damboa during a military/civilian road movement.

International News Syndicate received a phone call from Ya Musa Abukar, a local vigilante officer, who stated that the incident happened in the morning.

Three people were killed in the explosion, according to a source in Ajari ward in Damboa town, while six others had serious injuries and were taken to a hospital in Maiduguri for treatment.

This assault comes after International News Syndicate reported that on 12th of this month, a bomb blast killed two staff members of the Damboa Local Education Authority (LEA) along the Maiduguri-Damboa road.
