Police Retrieve ₦23m Lost Gold Coins at Malam Fatori‎

‎Police officers stationed at the Malam Fatori security outpost, northeastern Nigeria, have managed to retrieve gold coins totaling over ₦23 million, according to government officials.
‎
‎According to a confidential report obtained from the International News Syndicate, the money was discovered undamaged by members of the police who were stationed in the area. The money’s owner had misplaced the money without her knowledge.
‎
‎Also according to security sources, the woman was filled with feelings of relief and gratitude after being made aware that the coins had been found without anything missing.
‎
‎Officials from the local administration of Malam Fatori praised officers responsible for this operation, since this is a sign of enhanced professionalism among security forces stationed around the Lake Chad region.
‎
‎According to police officials, the property that was recovered, as well as the people involved, are all under protection, although the details of the operation are classified.
‎
‎The development has also been welcomed by the residents, who have recognized that the response is a morale booster for the relevant institutions.
‎

Intelligence sources have informed International News Syndicate that the incident occurred at Kanti Goma Shabiyu, Umarari Ward, on Baga Road, as CJTF personnel affiliated with Sector 10 engaged in an arrest attempt.  The accidental discharge of a firearm by an operative identified as 27-year-old Abba Sidi Mala resulted in an injury to Zainab Usman's head. BORNO: In Benishiekh, a man was killed during a tragic dispute over mango farming

BY: ADAMU ALIYU NGULDE, MAIDUGURI The death of a brother and the hospitalization of another have been caused by a dispute between two brothers about mango harvesting in Benishiekh, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State. According to sources, the incident took place on Tuesday around 9:00 AM when Kajdi Kachalla, 40, and his younger brother, Baba Goni Kachalla, 28, had a physical fight at their mango plantation in Ajari Area, Benishiekh. During the fight, both men used wooden sticks to inflict serious head and mouth injuries on one another.  The police operatives responded quickly and transported them to the General Hospital in Benishiekh.  Kajdi Kachalla has been declared dead, while Baba Goni is still undergoing medical treatment. The deceased's body was later given to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rituals.
