In Northeast Nigeria, Emir of Uba appointed New 'Dan Amanar Uba'

Engr. Abddullahi Musa Askira, the Deputy Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, has received a traditional title letter from the Uba Emirate Council in Askira/Uba local government area, Borno State Northeast Nigeria.

The Emir of Uba, HRH Alhaji Ali Ibn Isma'ila Mamza, the second, represented by the secretary of the Uba Emirate Council present the appointment letter of 'Dan Amanar Uba' to Deputy Speaker, Engr Musa Askira, at his residence.
Speaking at the event, The Emir of Uba, HRH Alhaji Ali Ibn Isma'ila Mamza, the second, says that "the emirate does not give traditional titles indiscriminately, and the Deputy Speaker deserves the title of 'Dan Amanar Uba' which he was awarded.

Contributing, Prof. Adamu Dzibama from Wazirin Uba stated that the title is well deserved for Engr. Abdullahi Askira stated that the Emirate doesn't give titles for money, but rather for those who serve the community selflessly.
"We express our gratitude to Allah, all praise be upon him, for allowing us to witness this significant event, in which Uba emirate is granting the title to the Deputy Speaker of Borno State House Assembly, Engr. Abddullahi Musa Askira" he said.

Uba Emirate expresses its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the Borno State Government, HRH the Shehu of Borno, Emir of Askira, as well as traditional and religious leaders for supporting the Uba Emirate Council.
According to the Emirate, he was given the title of  ''Dan Amanar Uba'', meaning 'The Trustworthy Son of Askira/Uba Local Government', for his excellent leadership and unmatched services to Uba emirate, Askira-Uba, and the state in general through various projects.

Responding, the Dan Amanar Uba emirate council appreciates the Emir, the Emirate Council, and the people of Uba for this great honor. They conferred upon him the title of 'Dan Amanar Uba' for being worthy in the development of the emirate and the local government in general. 

Dignitaries, including the Deputy Majority Leader of the State Assembly, Hon. Malami Wakil Korede, Hon. Karta Maina Ma'aji Lawan, Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Kwahafa, Hon. Tarpaya Asarya, Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Hon. Usman Wakta, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, Directors, and traditional and religious leaders among others were at the event.

Intelligence sources have informed International News Syndicate that the incident occurred at Kanti Goma Shabiyu, Umarari Ward, on Baga Road, as CJTF personnel affiliated with Sector 10 engaged in an arrest attempt.  The accidental discharge of a firearm by an operative identified as 27-year-old Abba Sidi Mala resulted in an injury to Zainab Usman's head. The security patrol team was quick to respond and rush the victim to the State Specialist Hospital, where her death was confirmed.  Her family was given her remains for burial in accordance with Islamic rites. According to sources, the suspect has been taken into custody by the police, and an investigation is currently taking place to determine the circumstances leading to the accidental release.

The hospital has discharged minors who were victims of viral child abuse videos and they are currently recovering well.

BY ADAMU ALIYU NGULDE, MAIDUGURI Hauwa Mohammed Goni and Ummina Hajara Mohammed Goni, who were disrupted by a disturbing child abuse case that was captured in a viral video, are now discharged from the hospital and regaining their health. On Monday, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the public relations officer of Borno State Command, released an update on the case, which affirmed that the children who were treated cruelly by a couple are now in a stable condition and receiving the required care. The statement indicates that their father, Mr. Goni Murmured, visited the state headquarters, where they were given financial aid by senior police officers. BORNO: In Benishiekh, a man was killed during a tragic dispute over mango farming

BY: ADAMU ALIYU NGULDE, MAIDUGURI The death of a brother and the hospitalization of another have been caused by a dispute between two brothers about mango harvesting in Benishiekh, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State. According to sources, the incident took place on Tuesday around 9:00 AM when Kajdi Kachalla, 40, and his younger brother, Baba Goni Kachalla, 28, had a physical fight at their mango plantation in Ajari Area, Benishiekh. During the fight, both men used wooden sticks to inflict serious head and mouth injuries on one another.  The police operatives responded quickly and transported them to the General Hospital in Benishiekh.  Kajdi Kachalla has been declared dead, while Baba Goni is still undergoing medical treatment. The deceased's body was later given to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rituals.
