Emir of Uba appointed new 'Dan Galadiman Uba'

HRH Emir of Uba Alhaji Ali Ibn Isma'ila Mamza, represented by the secretary of the Uba Emirate Council, presented the appointment letter to the Chief Medical Director of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital at his office.

He is Professor Ahmed Ahidjo.

Professor Ahidjo's dedication to the community and exceptional leadership were congratulated by Wazirin Uba when he presented the letter.
He expresses gratitude to the Emir of Uba for bestowing the esteemed title of 'Dan Galadiman Uba' upon Prof. Ahmed Ahidjo. 

'In regards to the title, it's important to point out that traditional titles are often given to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service, leadership, and dedication to their communities. Ahidjo's achievements and commitment to public service make him an exemplary recipient of this honour" he said.
Responding, Professor Ahmed Ahidjo, who is the new Dan Galadiman Uba Emirate Council, thanks the Emir, the Emirate Council, and the good people of Uba for this great honor. He was conferred with the title of Dan Galadiman Uba.

He used the forum and assured his total support to the Uba Emirate Council for finding him worthy. He pledged to contribute his quota for the development of the emirate in general.

BY ADAMU ALIYU NGULDE, MAIDUGURI On Saturday, a 15-year-old girl was killed in Maiduguri when a Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) operative strayed off and shot her. Intelligence sources have informed International News Syndicate that the incident occurred at Kanti Goma Shabiyu, Umarari Ward, on Baga Road, as CJTF personnel affiliated with Sector 10 engaged in an arrest attempt.  The accidental discharge of a firearm by an operative identified as 27-year-old Abba Sidi Mala resulted in an injury to Zainab Usman's head. The security patrol team was quick to respond and rush the victim to the State Specialist Hospital, where her death was confirmed.  Her family was given her remains for burial in accordance with Islamic rites. According to sources, the suspect has been taken into custody by the police, and an investigation is currently taking place to determine the circumstances leading to the accidental release.

BY ADAMU ALIYU NGULDE, MAIDUGURI Hauwa Mohammed Goni and Ummina Hajara Mohammed Goni, who were disrupted by a disturbing child abuse case that was captured in a viral video, are now discharged from the hospital and regaining their health. On Monday, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the public relations officer of Borno State Command, released an update on the case, which affirmed that the children who were treated cruelly by a couple are now in a stable condition and receiving the required care. The statement indicates that their father, Mr. Goni Murmured, visited the state headquarters, where they were given financial aid by senior police officers. BORNO: In Benishiekh, a man was killed during a tragic dispute over mango farming

BY: ADAMU ALIYU NGULDE, MAIDUGURI The death of a brother and the hospitalization of another have been caused by a dispute between two brothers about mango harvesting in Benishiekh, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State. According to sources, the incident took place on Tuesday around 9:00 AM when Kajdi Kachalla, 40, and his younger brother, Baba Goni Kachalla, 28, had a physical fight at their mango plantation in Ajari Area, Benishiekh. During the fight, both men used wooden sticks to inflict serious head and mouth injuries on one another.  The police operatives responded quickly and transported them to the General Hospital in Benishiekh.  Kajdi Kachalla has been declared dead, while Baba Goni is still undergoing medical treatment. The deceased's body was later given to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rituals.
