Ending Insecurity in Nigeria requires our cooperation- CDS

Nigeria's Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa has made it clear to Nigerians that the military is dedicated to ending terrorism once and for all.
During his visit to Maiduguri on Thursday, he gave assurance in response to terrorist attacks in Borno State.
According to the CDS, terrorists in the Sahel region were under pressure to attack again, which caused them to increase attacks in Nigeria and the Lake Chad region.
He reassured that the military is in charge of the situation and has acquired advanced weapons to deploy alongside new tactics.
He urged Nigerians to keep calm because the military and security agencies are in complete control.
The CDS urged the public to assist the military by reporting suspicious movements, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in security.
"We are making a concerted effort to address these challenges. Security is not a business that can be managed by just one person. I urge everyone to join the battle against Boko Haram and ISWAP, bandits, kidnapping, and all kinds of criminality in order for our country to remain peaceful and develop," he said.
During the visit, the CDS examined the Giwa Barracks armory, which was recently destroyed due to heat waves.
