The Nigerian police are planning the inauguration of National Police Day celebration.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Borno State Police Command to commemorate the inaugural National Police Day on April 7th.

The event's purpose is to recognize the sacrifices made by police officers and enhance community involvement and public confidence.

A week-long series of community-focused activities has been planned by the command from April 2 to 7, which includes:

A town hall meeting will be held with stakeholders to talk about security concerns and crime prevention strategies

Working together with the Borno State Environmental Protection Agency, we conducted a sanitation and cleanup exercise.

A medical outreach program that provides free medical services to members of the community.

A campaign that teaches students about social issues in schools.

A walkathon organized to promote unity and enhance the partnership between law enforcement and the public.

To create a safer and more prosperous society, the public is urged to participate in programs.
