Terrorist attack destroyed bridge in northeastern Nigeria.

An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was detonated on the Mandafuma Bridge, along the Biu-Damboa road, by suspected ISWAP terrorists at around 2:20 PM on Tuesday. 

The bridge was completely destroyed by the explosion, which cut off the connection between Mandafuma Village and Biu Town.
This act of terrorism was meant to disrupt movement and prevent access for both motorists and passengers on the route. 

The purpose of it is to stop military reinforcements from travelling through the area.
