The Borno State Police Command's week-long National Police Day activities ended with a walkathon held in Maiduguri on Saturday morning.

This is part of the preparations for the National Police Day celebration scheduled for Monday, April 7, 2025.

The Walkathon, which started at 6:15 AM from the Command Headquarters, united police officers, community members, civil society representatives, and other stakeholders to demonstrate their shared commitment to public safety.

The symbolic end of a series of impactful community outreach programs held from April 2 to 5 included town hall meetings, sanitation exercises, medical outreach, and school sensitization campaigns designed to strengthen police-public relations and promote a safer society.

To commemorate the service, sacrifice, and dedication of police officers across the country, the President has directed that the main National Police Day celebration will take place on Monday, April 7.

As part of its efforts to create a safer and more inclusive society, the Command reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining these initiatives.
