A blast in Nigeria's Borno State on Saturday afternoon resulted in multiple deaths.

The International News Syndicate has learned that at least seven people have been killed on the Maiduguri-Damboa Road due to an explosion.

Terrorists suspected to be members of Boko Haram planted an improvised explosive device (IED), which shook a commuter bus that was transporting passengers to Maiduguri.

Maiduguri and Damboa local governments, along with other LGAs in the southern extraction of the state, are connected by the road.

The victims' bodies have been transported to Maiduguri hospital.
