The Borno government aids police and other security personnel
60 vehicles were given to the police, while the army got 50 more, along with 500 motorcycles.
Gov. Zulum's remarks highlighted the importance of enhancing the security infrastructure of the state, improving the operations of security personnel, and boosting their morale.
According to the need analysis, the governor instructed the security officers who received support to deploy the items received to all critical locations in the state.
He expressed appreciation for the efforts of all security officers in the state to ensure that peace is fully restored to the state.
He assured that he will remain committed to addressing the security issues that impact the state.
All divisional police officers (DPOs) in the state will benefit from the support, as stated by the governor.
The Governor's gesture was also recognized by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, who emphasized the importance of the donated items in improving their anti-terrorism efforts, efficient patrolling, and prompt emergency response.
He assured the governor that the items will be put to use immediately to safeguard the safety and security of residents in Borno State.
While thanking the governor for their support, he affirmed their commitment to continuing their partnership with the state government.
