Associate Prof. Halima Idris Gambo, from the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), has been elected to the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN) board.

This landslide victory, with 1193 votes, reflects Gambo's outstanding leadership and commitment to veterinary medicine.

As Chairperson of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association's (NVMA) Borno State Chapter, Gambo's achievement is a testament that women can excel in male-dominated fields.

Her board seat not only inspires women but also celebrates UNIMAID, where colleagues and students have expressed their congratulations.
