The Nigerian Army's 7 Division, Sector 1 Joint Task Force, North East Operation Hadin Kai recently unveiled new housing units at the Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri
The Army Headquarters has launched a new project to tackle the ongoing housing issues that soldiers in the area have been dealing with for a while.

"Some military personnel are required to reside off-base because there isn't enough housing available at the cantonment, which could potentially put security at risk," he explained.
The recently built housing units consist of two-bedroom apartments designed for Corporals and lower-ranking individuals, providing living space for 24 families.
The project was constructed by the Directorate of Procurement at Army Headquarters, while the residence for the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) of the 47 Engineer Brigade was built by the Nigerian Army Special Projects.
