The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announced on Wednesday that electricity has returned to some Northern Nigerian states after a lengthy power outage.

Ndidi Mbah, a TCN representative, bulk power service was restored at 4:56 pm on Wednesday via the 330kV Ugwuaji-Apir transmission line 1.

As he stated, the restoration follows the completion of repairs on the vandalized section.

Lafia, Makurdi, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, and Gombe are among the affected states that have regained power supply and have now returned to normal.

Mbah mentioned that TCN engineers are in the process of repairing the second 330kV transmission line, and all necessary materials have been brought on site. The work is set to begin."

'As our engineers work diligently to restore the 330kV transmission line 2, we value the public's patience and understanding;' He said.

TCN acknowledges the importance of electricity in everyday life and is committed to prompt repairs, he stated.

The region's power supply was disrupted due to terrorist vandalism of a transmission tower, resulting in a blackout.
