A Borno woman is awarded a 5-year university scholarship by the Army.
The Chief of Army Staff Special Scholarship for Islamic Law at the University of Maiduguri will be awarded to Miss Bolori.
The award presentation took place today at the Theatre Command Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai Maiduguri.
Major General Wahidi Shaibu, the Theatre Commander of the operation who presented the cheque to the beneficiary said the scheme cut across six geopolitical zones of the country.
In his remarks, the Theatre Commander said the scheme is one of Nigerian Army’s Non-Kinetic approaches to foster stability and development through education and other community services.
According to the Theatre Commander, the scheme is a non-Kinetic approach by the Nigerian Army to promote stability and development through education and other community services.
He stated that the Initiative was designed to have the minds of the people, especially the youths who represent the future of the nation.
The Nigerian Army's Department of Civil-Military Relations offers numerous programs that inspire young people in the county.
The Chief of Army Staff's Special Scholarship Schemes is one of the issues facing people who are very unfortunate due to the conflict, as per the TC, the support will aid them in pursuing their education and becoming better citizens.
Financial aid of N500 000 will be given to the recipient for academic sessions for a total of five years, covering tuition fees and other expenses.
During an interview with the beneficiary, Ms. Bolori, who had aspired to be a lawyer, expressed her appreciation for the Nigerian Army's gesture and promised to use the opportunity wisely.
