Borno Government to resettle 3,000 households in Malam Fatori.

Professor Usman Tar, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, made the announcement while visiting the town on Saturday with other top government officials to express his condolences to residents following the recent deadly Boko Haram attack that resulted in nine deaths and four injuries.
"The Borno State Government has already resettled 2,000 households, and there are plans to resettle another 3,000 households soon, making the total to 5,000. Professor Tar made sure the community received continued security arrangements and government support to maintain their stay" he said
The Commissioner for Local Government and Emirate Affairs, Hon. Sugun Mai Mele delivered Governor Zulum's condolence message to the people, assuring them of the state government's commitment to their safety and the stabilization of Malam Fatori, a strategic border town in the Abadam Local Government Area.
'Our visit was requested by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, who is currently on official duty abroad, to convey his heartfelt condolences for the recent attack. He has directed the government and security agencies to ensure the protection of this town', hon. Mele conveyed.
Excavators have been deployed to dig security trenches around the town to enhance local defenses, as revealed by the commissioner, who also warned residents against cooperating with insurgents.
As part of the relief work, the government allocated ₦500,000 to each bereaved family and ₦250,000 to each of the four injured victims who are currently being treated.
"He warned that anyone who ties up with Boko Haram to endanger the people of Malam Fatori will be cursed by the Holy Qur'an".
