CP Yusufu Mohammed Lawal, the Commissioner of Police of the Borno State Police Command, has retired from the Nigeria Police Force after three decades of service.

On Sunday, a pull-out parade was held in honor of him at the Police College in Maiduguri, marking the end of his remarkable career.

On July 20, 2023, CP Lawal became the 42nd Commissioner of Police in Borno and brought his wealth of experience to the position.

During his time in office, he made an effort to ensure peace and security in Nigeria's Borno state, frequently working with other security agencies to achieve this objective.

CP Lawal Yusufu commended the Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun for giving him the opportunity to lead the police force in Borno State and stressed the importance of unity within the police force.

Although CP Yusufu's retirement marks the conclusion of an era, his impact on the Nigerian Police Force will last for many years.
