Hon. Hauwa Zakariya hails Gov. Zulum for resettling Borno residents displaced by insurgency.

The Supervisory Councilor for Health in Gwoza Local Government Area, Hon. Hauwa Zakariya Izge, has commended the successes recorded in the ongoing resettlement of communities displaced by insurgency in the state.

Hauwa Zakariya disclosed this in an exclusive interview with International News Syndicate in Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State, Northeast Nigeria.

She said that the Borno State Government, under Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, deserves commendation for its commitment. 

Furthermore, she mentioned that some communities had returned to the Gwoza Local Government Area and were pursuing agricultural activities. 

"People in the Gwoza local government have registered their support for the current administration led by Gov. Zulum and are willing to sacrifice themselves for the betterment of the Gwoza community in order to complement the efforts of the state government" she said.

She added, 'I want to commend the people of Gwoza for their resilience and commitment to self-reliance. 

"The people in Gawoza town, Pulka, Warabe, Ngoshe, Izge, Limankara, Bita, and Hambagda have returned to their ancestral homes and are now engaged in farming activities.

The military and other security agencies are doing an exceptional job in providing the necessary security for individuals to work on their farms".

In the education sector, Hon. Izge also commended the Borno State government for reviving the education sector in Gwoza local government area, and calls on parents and guidance to be very vigilant in their ward's education. 

She used this medium to commend the Federal Government for recently approving a Federal College of Education in Gwoza, saying that the work has reached an advanced stage so far.

According to her, education is the bedrock of any meaningful society. So far, the people of Gwoza are gaining dividends of democracy from the current government led by Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.
