The Katsina State Police Command successfully rescued two kidnapped victims during a coordinated operation in the Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, northwest Nigeria.
Intelligence sources reported to International News Syndicate that armed men had attacked the villages of Gidan Filoti and Gidan Mairabo earlier, and kidnapped Hafsat Amadu, a female resident, and Musa Sani, a male.
After receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Malumfashi commanded a security team to rescue a group that was believed to be one of the bandits' hideouts.
A fierce gun duel between the security team and the bandits forced the criminals to flee with bullet wounds, leaving the captives behind.
After being rescued without any harm, both victims have been reunited with their families.
