Many bandits killed, several motorcycles recovered in Zamfara, northwest Nigeria.

Local vigilante members, popularly known as Yan Sakai, ambushed suspected armed bandits loyal to Dan Rani and reportedly executed 30 of them near Dansadau town in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Nigeria's northwest.
Intelligence sources told International News Syndicate that the incident occurred on April 4, 2025, at about 2:00 pm, when the bandits were allegedly on their way to launch an attack on a nearby village.
An ambush was set by vigilante operatives on the outskirts of the town, resulting in a fierce confrontation where the bandits were defeated.
In addition, sixteen (16) motorcycles used by the armed bandits were discovered at the site.
Local sources confirmed that the body of a Community Protection Guard (CPG) member, named Ashiru Dawa, who was taken by suspected bandits earlier has been recovered by the security forces.
At around 6:00 a.m. that morning, his remains were discovered in a bush close to Gidan Kano area.
After being taken to a hospital for autopsy, the body was returned to its family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
