While returning, the vigilante group was attacked by another bandit group, which resulted in casualties among them.

The Community Protection Guards are a part of the Zamfara State Security Outfit, created by Governor Dauda Lawal to augment the work of other security agencies in the state.

The incident has caused deep sorrow among residents and community leaders, who have offered condolences to the families of the fallen vigilantes.

They praised the vigilantes for their courage and sacrifice in supporting the fight against insecurity in the state.
