A Cameroonian army lieutenant, among others, has been reportedly killed in a Boko Haram attack on Wolgo, a locality in the Far North region of Cameroon, according to security sources.

Intelligence sources informed International News Syndicate that the attackers, who were believed to be members of the Boko Haram terrorist group, encircled the area late Monday night, destroying military vehicles, stealing ammunition, and briefly occupying a security post before retreating.

The number of casualties among the attackers hasn't been disclosed by Cameroon authorities yet, but the Cameroonian military has initiated a counter-offensive to respond.
