A fire engulfs shops in Mai'adua Market, Katsina State

About 180 thatch shops were lost due to a fire outbreak at Mai'adua Market in Mai'adua Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Eyewitness told International News Syndicate that the inferno started around 10:30 AM.

Firefighters, traders, and residents worked with one another to extinguish the fire before it could spread further.
No lives were lost in the incident, which is fortunate.

Authorities are currently assessing the extent of damage and determining the cause of the fire. 

An investigation is underway to establish the source of the outbreak and evaluate the total value of property lost.
