Borno Gov't has been commended for assisting Sangaya Schools in the state.

Abdulkadir Abdulkarim, Executive Secretary of the Arabic and Sangaya Education Boards, made the compliment while giving the certified evidence to the school management.

He stated that these efforts have significantly improved the Sangaya outcomes and living conditions for Almajiris in the state.

The Executive Secretary praised the Borno State Government for providing quality education to Almajiris, stating that it is an important step towards tackling the difficulties affecting the Almajiri system.

Responding, the Principal of Ba Buji Sangaya model school, thanked Governor Zulum and the government for their ongoing support of the institution.
He said the funds will be used to strengthen and develop the school, as well as to provide better education and basic necessities to the Almajiris in their care.

According to him, as school administrators, they will do what is necessary for the children and raise the school's teaching standards from JSS to SS.

Also speaking, Sayyina Goni Kolo Gana thanked Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for the millions of naira he donated to Ba Buji Sangaya School.
The grant reflects the state government's commitment to providing quality education to Almajiris while also encouraging peaceful coexistence among the state's sangaya institutions.

BY ADAMU ALIYU NGULDE, MAIDUGURI On Saturday, a 15-year-old girl was killed in Maiduguri when a Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) operative strayed off and shot her. Intelligence sources have informed International News Syndicate that the incident occurred at Kanti Goma Shabiyu, Umarari Ward, on Baga Road, as CJTF personnel affiliated with Sector 10 engaged in an arrest attempt.  The accidental discharge of a firearm by an operative identified as 27-year-old Abba Sidi Mala resulted in an injury to Zainab Usman's head. The security patrol team was quick to respond and rush the victim to the State Specialist Hospital, where her death was confirmed.  Her family was given her remains for burial in accordance with Islamic rites. According to sources, the suspect has been taken into custody by the police, and an investigation is currently taking place to determine the circumstances leading to the accidental release.

BORNO: In Benishiekh, a man was killed during a tragic dispute over mango farming

BY: ADAMU ALIYU NGULDE, MAIDUGURI The death of a brother and the hospitalization of another have been caused by a dispute between two brothers about mango harvesting in Benishiekh, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State. According to sources, the incident took place on Tuesday around 9:00 AM when Kajdi Kachalla, 40, and his younger brother, Baba Goni Kachalla, 28, had a physical fight at their mango plantation in Ajari Area, Benishiekh. During the fight, both men used wooden sticks to inflict serious head and mouth injuries on one another.  The police operatives responded quickly and transported them to the General Hospital in Benishiekh.  Kajdi Kachalla has been declared dead, while Baba Goni is still undergoing medical treatment. The deceased's body was later given to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rituals.

On Monday, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the public relations officer of Borno State Command, released an update on the case, which affirmed that the children who were treated cruelly by a couple are now in a stable condition and receiving the required care. The statement indicates that their father, Mr. Goni Murmured, visited the state headquarters, where they were given financial aid by senior police officers.
