EID-EL-FITR: POLICE IN BORNO COMMIT TO PROTECT LIVES, PROPERTY

Borno State Police Command reitetates its commitment to protect lives and properties during and after Eid-El-Fitr Festivities.

The state Police Public Relation Officer PPRO ASP Sani Kamilu Muhammad Shatambaya stated this in an interview in his office in Maiduguri.

This comes after terrorists threatened to detonate bombs in Maiduguri, Bama and Konduga local government areas during sallah celebration.

The Police Command reiterated its redness to provide adequate security for lives and property before, during and after the forthcoming Eid-El-Fitr celebration and assures  of sufficient deployment of Police personnel to EID praying grounds, and other public places across the state to ensure the safety of residents during the celebration and beyond.

The Police Public Relations Officer said the Command will not hesitate to clamp down on any miscreant who may want to use the period to foment trouble or cause any disruption of public peace.

ASP Shatambaya also used the forum to call on members of the public to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement or persons to the Police and other security agencies for immediate intervention.

He thereby, on behalf of the Command, wished all Muslim Umma in the state a joyous and hitch-free Sallah celebration.
