TRIBUTE TO LATE PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI
BY: TIJJANI GARGA DIWAR
Earth has no sorrow that Heaven Cannot heal. Yes the Man that has enjoyed my votes in 2003,2007,2011,2015 and 2019 is gone. Who is this Man? He is Muhammadu Buhari.
President Buhari means many things to different People but one thing that all agreed with is the fact that he is a Mortal. He left no One in doubt about staring at his Own Mortality which Many People often ignored.
He often reminded People about the temporal nature of this life. He knew without any doubt that he would die and be called to account. This is what many people hate to hear, but PMB always reminds himself that it is only time that stands between him and death.
PMB' Life is a testament that we can make our life Sublimes and depart leaving behind our Foot' Print on the sand of History. He was not Corrupt, yet he was able to feed his Family well and gave his Children the best up bringing and Education.
Evidently from the disposition of his only Son, Yusuf justified that who for 8 years has Maintained level headed Posture without embarrassing his Father.
PMB is a Man you can Trust and he was fortunate to have such virtue which is rare nowadays. He came, saw Opportunities and refused to take advantage by way of Compromising the Teaching of his Faith (Islam).
Did he die a Poor Man? No!,
Did he Corruptly enrich himself? No!,
Did he abuse Democratic Dictates? No!
Then why even at death, some people are still angry at him?
The answer is simply, people are angry with him because he refused to join the bandwagon of those plundering elites who continue to loot whatever that can be looted as well as enjoying abusing people's Psyche. That was his Sin.
Three times he attempted to lead us and failed only to succeed in the fourth attempt, the question to ask is why was he consistent in his desire to lead? The answer is simply.
PMB wanted to build an egalitarian society, to make Nigeria strong and Modern, to bring happiness to people who had no idea what the word meant.
He knew, tears would always be shed, but he wanted less tears and bitterness. Unfortunately, many People failed to Support him. Now, do we owe him an apology? Yes, but it is too late because the nemesis has already caught up with us through President Bola Ahmed Tinibu policies.
President Muhammadu Buhari was a Good Man. We have lost a Good Man and have to accept the fact that he is irreplaceable. No need to search the wind in the field.
Good bye My President. I have forgiven you for whatever actions you took as my leader, because I know you have good intentions of taking such actions. I wish I will have a child who will grow with your qualities. You fought for the unity of the country, you governed the country at the age of 40. You were removed and placed under house arrest at the age of 42. At the age of 50 you chaired the Petroleum trust fund and at the age of 60 started the democratic struggles until the age of 80 when you finally rest. You have done something that none of your peers have come close to and that makes you the envy of them.
I will end this Tribute with a quotation from Ostrovosky's " How the steel was Tempered" it says ; Man's dearest possession is his life, and since it is given to him to live but once, he must so live as not be scared with the shame of a cowardly and trivial past, so live as not to be tortured for years without purpose, that dying he can say, "All my life and my strength were given to the first cause in the world - the libration of Mankind".
