In Nigeria's northeast, an IED explosion injures one in Damboa village.

An improvised explosive device (IED) explosion occurred in Masaimari Village, 55 kilometres away from Damboa LGA, Borno state, northeast Nigeria on April 4, 2025, leaving one person injured.
According to intelligence sources, Alhaji Sanda and Bulama Zaraye, both residents of the Hausari community, accidentally Bulama stepped on an IED while returning home.
Local sources say that Alhaji Sanda and Bulama Zaraye went to the bush to burn charcoal. Unfortunately, on their way back, this incessantly occurred.
The device that ISWAP is suspected of planting exploded, causing injuries to Bulama's buttock, right hand, and lap.
Bulama was rushed to General Hospital in Damboa and is currently receiving treatment while remaining stable.
An effort was made to search for more explosive devices after a cordon was put around the area, but they were not found.
